MAHALO!

Mahalo for your support of the HAAS Drama Club.  Our program accepts all students and provides them a high level of performing arts experience.  Our program is made possible by the generosity of the Arts and Science Center, Hawai'i Academy of Arts and Science and supporters like you. 

This school year, our drama club students planned and executed the overwhelming successful “Spooktacular", a Halloween event enjoyed by hundreds of community members.  Drama Club cast and crew members blended theatrical elements into several different immersive guest experiences to include a zombie run, spooky story telling, and participating in a choreographed “Thriller” flash mob!  Drama Club members decorated a float for the annual Pahoa Christmas Parade.  The float featured carolers followed by our members who marched and sang along.  HAAS won the “Most Spirited” award for our contribution!  We conclude this school year with a comedic 2-act play about a group of young wizards that attend a certain school of magic.  “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic” is  set to open early April 2024.

We humbly ask for your support so we may continue to grow this one of a kind program right here in our backyard of lower Puna. The success of Drama Club has fostered the growth of many other after school programs.  It has helped become the blueprint for an entire after school club program that now consists of Esports Club, Board Game Club, Skate Club, Poetry Club, and STEAM Club to name a few.  Your contribution will help develop and perpetuate the variety of after school enrichment.  We also encourage you to join our team of volunteers without whom none of this would be successful.  We extend our heartfelt gratitude and mahalo for your support and generosity.
